Pete Sharma Associates Ltd was founded in October 2008. We write and run courses on successfully integrating educational technology into language courses, and advise institutions on hardware and software for language teaching.
We believe in ‘blended learning’ and specialise in running ‘face-to-face’ training for language teachers with technology-enhanced support.
The thinking behind Pete Sharma Associates is simple. We believe in blended learning – it has been demonstrated through research (for sources click here) that language teaching is most effective when it offers ‘face-to-face’ teaching with technology-enhanced support.
But we also believe that language teachers need effective training in using hardware and software. What we offer, therefore, are ‘blended’ courses for all those who need to gain confidence and competence in using new technology to support language training.
A lot happened for us in 2018. Apart from it being our 10th anniversary, April 2018 saw the publication of Pete Sharma and Barney Barrett’s new book: Best Practices for Blended Learning (Pavilion Publishing and Media). Available from: Pavilion
It also saw the launch of a self study taster course on Augmented Reality. See the Courses page for more details.
2019 saw Pete’s ground breaking and highly popular online course with iTDi on Evaluating Digital materials.
And in 2019 we also launched our new podcast, “Delivering Development“.
