Introduction

It is the 5th of May 2023. Welcome to episode 22 of the Delivering Development podcast, helping language teachers and others in the field to enhance their professional development.

As a result of discussions around a book chapter Pete and I are planning, it seemed to me that it would be really useful to do some episodes around the subject of blended learning. Having gone through the pandemic, with the unfortunate emergence of emergency remote teaching, one of the silver linings seems to me to be a body of teachers most of whom have, willingly or otherwise, become much more familiar with the use of technology in their teaching. But is it being applied in a principled way and what should we be thinking about now to build something positive from the generally negative experience of Covid?
